East Siiiide!
East Side Cannery Project

In an effort to start a new education of older traditions in food security and sustainability, SOLAR and Mile High Business Alliance have started the EastSide Cannery. It works like this...

After harvest on any farm there is food left in the fields which is not sellable to markets. This food is absolutely edible and ready for us, but it is a short window of time in which to harvest as the "frost" is upon us. We'll call this the Harvest after the Harvest.

Can't Participate in the EastSide Cannery? No problem...Gift Your Community
We propose that residents in NorthEast Park HIll, Clayton, and Skyland come together to harvest after the harvest, learn to can these foods, take some foods home and can the rest to be sold in a fundraising effort for SOLAR.

We plan to utilize local kitchens at schools and churches. What we need is YOUR participation!

Its an opportunity to create a COMMUNITY network, learn vaulable self sustaining SKILLS, and create some much needed food security.

Please forward this to friends and family! If you would like to volunteer please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
